Leadership in Intervarsity
Thanks so much for your interest in serving the Lord this upcoming year through InterVarsity Leadership. Leadership is a year-long commitment and is a unique opportunity for you to be developed as you learn what it means to be a leader in the Kingdom of God. Leadership has influence, and influence begins in the ways we surrender our lives to God and choose to serve Him on His terms.
InterVarsity at UO's core vision is to see God's love encounter and transform every corner of campus. Being a part of leadership is a way you can participate in what God is doing to transform lives, renew the campus, and see the world changed for the better.
We’re excited to embark on this process with you, as you discern your plans to serve Him perhaps as a leader next year. If you have any questions or need someone to chat with about this, feel free to email any of the other staff members.
InterVarsity is a student and staff partnered ministry. Our leadership consists of a team of full-time and part-time staff, a team of student area leaders, as well as our general leadership body. Together we seek to lead our community towards the vision of seeing our entire campus ENCOUNTER Jesus, LOVE radically, and CHANGE the world. There are two chapters of InterVarsity at UO; the undergrad chapter and the International Chapter. These chapters overlap in a few ways but generally run parallel to one another in reaching the campus and the world.
Every leader will have at least one Leadership Role and be part of a team.
Staff Workers are full-time Community Advisors who are here to help guide, develop, and support all of you.
